About Inviting Developments founder
My Beginnings
I am in love with the creative arts. As a child I wrote poetry and sang in church youth choirs and enjoyed creating science projects for the annual science fair at school.
As a teenager, I initiated a youth drama program at the community church where I lead, directed and co-wrote plays and musicals as fundraisers. Attending adults were thrilled with the performances and their encouragement led me to participate in the performing arts at the college level, join a Grammy award winning gospel choir and to continue creating, directing and producing theater.
My Favorite Work
At the end of the day, what I've enjoyed the most is when the creative work God has placed on my heart to do is inviting and the experiences positively impactful to audiences, and to all those involved.
My Life Today
I'm very appreciative to have had the opportunities I was blessed to be a part of. My experiences have allowed me to produce, direct and write off-Broadway musicals that opened on Broadway and that toured domestically and internationally. Additionally, I've developed plays and musicals that performed in regional theaters and most recently added publishing books to the Inviting Developments products.
The hope is that these creative works will encourage and strengthen both readers and viewers in meaningful ways at all times.
